Sonnet Songs

from the School of Night (Remediated) Collaboration

January 6, 2023 6-8pm at The Folsom Street Foundry 

You are invited to attend the premiere and launch of a creative critical collaboration bringing Renaissance and lyrics into House music. The School of Night, a collaboration between resident Bay Area DJ Mike Frugeletti, creative artist and talent Bertrand W. Delacourt, producer and academic Tiffany Jo Werth, along with gueststar Margaret Ronda, will premiere three sound sonnet experiments for your delight and edification. Our program will be hosted at the SF Vibelords happy hour, Best Intentions, with music and drinks from 5-12pm. https://www.facebook.com/Vibelords

Please join us in a musical voyage between 7-8pm where we will be premiering three sonnet songs:

• from Edmund Spenser’s Amoretti
• from Lady Mary Wroth’s Pamphilla to Amphilanthus
• from the works of Louise Lab

The event is free and open to the public and there will be a cash bar on site. There are also numberous restaurants nearby if you’d like to book dinner reservations. The venue is about a twenty-five minute walk or ten minute uber/lyft ride from the MLA conference hotel.
