This talk will offer an overview of a 14th-century Persian illustrated manuscript that introduces Chinese theories of the body and nature to a Persian audience. Commissioned by the Persian vizier and physician Rashīd al-Dīn Faḍl Allāh Hamadānī (1247–1318) and completed toward the end of Mongol rule in Iran, it represents a remarkable synthesis of cross-cultural knowledge.
